Klostergut Paradies is situated in an idyllic location on the banks of the river Rhine between Schaffhausen and Lake Constance. The former nunnery is inextricably bound up with the history of this region and since 1918 has been the property of the Georg Fischer Corporation, one of Switzerland’s leading industrial groups. As a training center and popular venue for both conferences and private functions, these days Klostergut Paradies is open to everyone.

The Iron Library at Klostergut Paradies boasts some 40,000 books and periodicals on the subject of iron, ranging from the historical to the modern. Tours of what is rightly considered to be one of the most outstanding scientific libraries in the world are available by arrangement and all the works in the library can be used free of charge.

The Conference Center has an auditorium and 12 variously sized function rooms, all of which contain state-of-the-art conference equipment. The restaurant can serve business lunches, buffets or conventional lunches, as required.
